Project Outline The Monaraha project is a solar farm covering a 70-acre block of land on the outskirts of Cahir in Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Once complete, the project will deliver over 20MW of renewable electricity to the Irish grid. The farm will have a 32MWP (DC Capacity) and 21.76 MVA (Inverter AC Capacity). Murphy are PSCS for the project and will complete all civil and electrical installations including, but not limited to, internal road installation, DC, LV and MV cable installation, transformer base construction and installation of same, installation of 68 inverters and all cable terminations required for the commissioning of the project. Since Mobilisation in February 2024, our team have made significant progress. As the project/Murphy Scope includes all Civil and Electrical installations required to facilitate the operation of this solar farm, installation of the site’s infrastructure was key to ensuring access to commence mechanical and electrical works. Within 4 weeks, Murphy had completed construction of the site compound offices, which facilitate a workforce of over 70 personnel, site laydown facilities to house project plant, materials and stores. All road networks along with associated drainage were also completed ahead of schedule. Currently the project is ahead of baseline schedule with all Inverters installed to the module framework two weeks ahead of programme and our direct current cables due completion also coming in two weeks ahead of schedule. KEY FACTS 401,594m of DC cable installed 48,0000 PV interconnections completed 7498m of LV cable installed 2500m of MV cable installed
