Murphy has been delivering world-class infrastructure across Ireland since 1968.
The history of Murphy is rooted in Ireland. Our founder, John Murphy, left his home in Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, to travel to London where he would set up the business in 1951. In 1968, his son, Bernard, would return to found the Irish branch of Murphy, and our operations in the country have been head quartered in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, ever since.
Over the years we have built trusted and long-standing relationships with our customers – such as Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water, Dublin Port Company, Gas Networks Ireland and Aughinish Alumina Ltd – as well as the communities in which we work.
We currently employ over 800 engineers, designers, technicians, managers and operatives across Ireland. Our commitment to our continued growth in Ireland is evidenced by our ongoing expansion, including the recent opening of our new Steel Fabrication and Pipe Fabrication & Testing facilities, which will create 70 additional jobs by 2029.
These facilities are also a great example of our One Murphy value, with our fabrication facilities supporting projects across all areas of Murphy, regardless of location or sector.
