Assured delivery of world-class infrastructure fuels our North American growth.
Murphy’s involvement in North America began in 2014 with the formation of the Surerus-Murphy Joint Venture, a fully integrated joint venture between Murphy and Surerus Pipeline Inc.
Surerus-Murphy brings together over 100 years of combined pipeline construction experience and benefits from alignment of the respective company values and commitment to the delivery of unrivalled performance in quality, health, safety and environmental. This commitment has ensured that both companies maintain an impressive track record of delivering complex construction projects. That record positions us to widen not only our sector offering, but our geographical footprint.
In 2023 we expanded our Canadian operations into the rail infrastructure sector in Ontario, with the formation of the Kenaidan-Murphy Joint Venture. We are excited by the long-term opportunities this partnership will deliver and the impact that we can have on this growing market.
SURERUS MURPHY
Surerus Murphy builds critical infrastructure to meet the needs of Canada’s traditional and renewable energy construction projects.
We build the pipelines that ensure Canada’s natural resources are safely transported, processed and stored. We build renewable energy projects, such as utility-scale solar installation projects, battery storage units, carbon capture pipelines and storage facilities, hydrogen energy facilities, and more that support Canada’s energy industry’s transition to net zero by 2050.
We support the full cycle of construction that spans early contractor engagement and planning before a project begins. We build partnerships and relationships with local and Indigenous communities that ensure local communities have access to participation and following a project’s completion, we provide clean-up and reclamation support.
We work in all terrains, in all environments, including some of the steepest mountainous slopes in the world. We work through inclement winters as well as the hot, dry summers to deliver world-class infrastructure. In some cases, we take our fleet of equipment, tools and skilled crews to locations where modern man and machinery have not been before.
Our team is staffed with experts who are at the top of their game and ready to tackle any challenge put their way.
It is our culture, though, that makes us different. Our values of Trust, Integrity, Never Harm and Assured Delivery guild how we work with each other, our communities, our clients and our business partners.
We will move mountains – literally – to ensure we deliver a quality product, collaboratively.
