Our purpose at Murphy is to improve life by delivering world-class infrastructure. In doing so, we are also committing to deliver a range of additional outcomes as part of our contracts which benefit society – otherwise known as social value.
Creating social value is an entrenched part of our everyday actions at Murphy, overseen by our award-winning People & Social Value strategy which encompasses two clear objectives: leaving a long-term positive legacy on the communities we work in and creating a workplace where people feel secure and comfortable to be themselves.
Our projects and functions across the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA undertake a wide variety of work in our communities including volunteering with local causes, raising money for charities and school presentations to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
Internally, we aim to make Murphy a great place to work where our people feel secure and comfortable to be themselves. A big part of this is to promote an inclusive culture and work towards having a population that reflects the communities that we work in.
